Gooshe is a short-term farm stay located in Mazandaran, Iran. The project aims to express its definition of a hut.
This hut started its life as a shared workspace named blok . Our second collaboration with Arix studios is situated on the same site as Rangin Khaneh, a previous project completed for the same client in 2017. The building's design was influenced by the concept of the hut, as conceived by renowned architects and writers such as Semper and Lugier.
The building consists of a metal frame as its primary structure and timber as its secondary structure, which also serves as the cladding and thermal envelope. The choice of architectural components was made with care, using what was already available on store shelves, in line with the project's commitment to an economy of means.
The structure is raised on metal columns to prevent possible flooding during the rainy season, imparting a sense of stability and resilience to the building.
